Over thirty years ago, Bob Garrett founded Sur-Seal Fastening Systems out of a tiny warehouse space in Winnipeg. He, along with one of his first hires, Mark Figueiredo, offered packaging and shipping supplies to local and rural companies.
Bob did business in his cowboy boots and hat, whether he was selling poly to a country farmer or specialized tape in a corporate boardroom. Customers trusted him to find right product for their specific needs at a fair price and he succeed on building his business by removing stress from his customer’s daily grind. The vendor managed inventory concept was born.
After merging with Induspac in 1999 the company brought on a new line of innovative packaging and a new way of thinking about packaging. Bob retired in 2000 but Mark and a dedicated long term team of incredible people have navigated the growth of the business from two employees to 7 separate product divisions with over 40 employees. Our loyal suppliers and customers have been instrumental in our success but it all is built on a strong, steadfast foundation of hard work, trust and a true desire to ensure the customer is always taken care of.
In 2014, Snelling purchased Sur-Seal Packaging and we are proud to be part of the Snelling group, who share a similar reputation built entirely on service and customer commitment.
